Moroccan leather ottoman poufs down to $95 for wholesale orders!

I’ve just had an exciting pre Christmas email from my supplier in Morocco with some great news on the Moroccan leather ottoman poufs. They have decided to lower the price and as a result I’m happy to pass that saving onto my stockists and stores. The minimum wholesale amount will now be fifteen with a price of $95 for each pouf (ottomans are shipped flat in a calico cotton drawstring presentation bag). I’ll be updating my ‘Stock my Store’ profile over the next few weeks with this discounted new price but I wanted to let you be one of the first to know. All the wonderful colours you see below are available and if you are an, bricks and mortar or online store (based in Australia) interested in placing an order please feel free to email me: deborahbatchelor@me.com

Fashion Friday :: Monochrome Magic!

1 Feb
the-night-circusTodays post has been inspired in part by an interesting novel that I have just started reading called ‘The Night Circus’ by Erin Morgenstern.
The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called Le Cirque des Rêves, and it is only open at night.
Is there anything easier and more classic than monochrome with a dash of red? It always looks timeless, crisp and translates into everything from fashion accessories to home wares.

A perennial classic, monochrome remains so eminently wearable in that it is both striking yet conservative, the ultimate in juxtaposition. This is a timeless trend which will never go out of style due to the elegance and simplicity exuded by the colours.

Some in the crowd smile knowingly, while others frown and look questioningly at their neighbours. A child near you tugs on her mother’s sleeve, begging to know what it says. “The Circus of Dreams”, comes the reply. The girl smiles delightedly. The iron gates shudder and unlock, seemingly by their own violation.

They swing outward, inviting the crowd inside.

Now the circus is open.

Now you may enter.

Dulux Colour Forecast for 2013 :: Blur

5 Jan

I’ve really enjoyed bringing you the ‘Rock Ribbons’ special weekly event, presenting the six colour forecasts from Dulux Colour for 2013.

Dulux have broken up their trends into six different colour movements, Merge, Seek, Empower, Rise, Share and Blur. Today I’m sharing with you the last movement in the series, Blur.

We are in motion, movement is all around us – a blur of colour, a subtle shift of light, a merge of shadows. Movement is social change, the rise of a nation, the protest of people, the progress of the digital age. The Dulux Colour Forecast – Colour Movement, explores how colour is moving around us, shifting and changing along with our world and all that is in it.

Six portions

Each trend has been inspired by different cultural and environmental factors and explores how colour is moving around us, shifting and changing along with our world and all that is in it.

Todays movement is :: BLUR

Blur Oblong

We live in a world of pop-up culture where retail environments need to excite and enthrall, innovation is a constant blur and an online generation craves unique experiences. The Blur palette is shocking and unexpected with reds, pinks, purples and oranges that combine to grab your attention while being fun and lighthearted.

Be bold and adventurous using the Blur palette to create an exciting interior space. Try using these colour combinations in entry spaces, living areas or bedrooms for an on trend look that’s designed to energise.

Dulux Colour Forecast for 2013 :: Merge

1 Jan

Happy New Year Everyone! To start off the year on a colourful note, I’d like to share with you the Dulux Colour Forecast for 2013. Dulux have broken up their trends into six different colour movements. As a special event this week I’ll be sharing each of the six movements with you over the next five days. Each trend has been inspired by different cultural and environmental factors and explores how colour is moving around us, shifting and changing along with our world and all that is in it.

First up is: MERGE

Merge evokes nostalgia by merging past, present and future styles for something entirely new but familiar. Craftsmanship, reconciling analogue with digital & simple processes with innovative solutions inform the Merge trend.

Tradition is reflected in the palette where materials associated with craftsmanship are represented in hues of stone, timber and leather while natural dying processes inspire red hues and orange based pinks.

Toadstools popping up everywhere!

28 Nov

These fun little night light mushrooms proved to be such a hit with you all at a recent ‘Rock Ribbons’ event last week, that I’ve decided to see how they will go stocking them in store. I always think they look a little ‘Alice in Wonderland’!

The colours available are yellow, green, pink, red and blue, all with cute little white polka dots. They will retail for an introductory offer of $5.00 each or a discounted $20.00 if you would love a set of all five colours. They make great night lights for kids rooms or presents for the little ones and take just three small AAA batteries. They are perfectly safe to leave on all night and easy for little hands to turn on and off, just by pressing down twice on the top of the toadstool.

They are on order and on the way to ‘Rock Ribbons’ HQ as we speak but if you would like to pre-order, please contact me here.
